Welcome to the official blog of  Volunteers of America Greater New Orleans! We have been “touching lives, building community” since 1896. Today, we extend a hand up to children, families, seniors and persons with disabilities through a wide array of programs in sixteen parishes throughout south Louisiana. As part of a leading national nonprofit charity, Volunteers of America has a rich history and a promising future in south Louisiana. We seek to identify and serve the basic needs of the most vulnerable individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our services include the following:
